SOLD!!

Well after we parked the van this past Monday (5 days ago), we have officially sold it, we asked $4000 for it and we sold it for $3500. Im so glad, it was a nice van, now Im looking for a 4x4 to get me through the winter, plus my kiddo's are much LARGER so they don't fit as well, plus I don't enjoy the snow & flooding out here on the farm.
Please pray for me that we will find something that is reliable, good on miles & at a price we can pay cash for.

2000 Ford Windstar SEL

We are finally at the point where we need to sell our van, with living on the Farm we need a 4x4 vehicle, I don't enjoy the snow or even lots of rain when it comes to our LONG driveway. It has been a Great Carpool Van over the past 5 years.

About our van
It's a Ford Silver 2000 Windstar SEL
173,000 miles, leather quad seats (plus a cloth bench that will fit in place of the two middle chairs, to enable it to seat 8), Power windows, Power mirrors, Power Seat, cruise control, traction control, backup sensor, luggage rack, cd player, built in VCR console, also had a DVD player installed, two automatic sliding doors, 4 tires were bought just this past summer (still under warranty @ Big O Tires), new rear brakes about a month ago, Information center on dash- tells how how long till needing oil change, miles to empty, outside temp, driving lights, etc.
Nice van, runs good, just needing to get something that can handle the weather here on the Farm. We're asking $4000 I'll put some pictures up soon.

Open House

Wanted invite Everyone to an Open House here from 2-4pm on Sunday September 13th.
I will have product out to show & have some demonstrations. I got into to Norwex because the products they sell help me to save money from having to buy cleaners with chemicals to clean my house, plus I can clean my house in 1/2 the time with these products, there micro-fiber cloths are antibacterial and have silver woven into the (which will not was out) and silver is the know antidote for food poisoning and even used in bandages for burn patients. These cloths help to keep the cross contamination down from your counters or even your hands. They have mops that do the same thing, and they swivel like Swifter sweepers and are very lightweight, the microfiber cloths have a 2 yr warranty and are expected to last more then 5-7 years.
I hope you'll stop by to see some demonstrations on how & why these cloths work so well.

you can go to www.norwex.com to check out some of the products

Where to begin

Well, it's been a month since I last posted.
Well Summer has been busy, I just haven't accomplished everything I wanted to. The kids have had activities, with tumbling every Monday for Isabella & tennis every Tue & Thur, finally done with that on July 23rd, also have been going to the Free movies once a week and we had a yard sale at a Sweet friend of mines house a few weeks ago, made some money to go to the Fair and eat some yummy fair food, and spent some on some Party lite stuff. Ive been slacking terribly with the garden, Ive had to actually get out the weed eater, some of it was because of all the rain & the fact that Im not that good at getting out to the garden in the mornings (okay, some of it is my addiction to email & facebook). Ive have also signed to be a Norwex Consultant, I went to a party back in May, and just loved the products, there mission is to radically reduce the use of chemicals in our homes. You can use these products to clean your home with Water so it cuts down on the cost & on the time it takes to clean and it is much safer. So I have begun to kick start that business just mainly to spread the word & maybe get some more products AND maybe a little income, depending how well it goes.
My Sister-in-law was diagnosed with Breast cancer at the beginning of summer, so that is a LARGE part of why Im changing our lifestyle, we have to educate our selves what we're doin and what is some of the modern conveniences that is raising our risk of cancer & disease.

All Natural

Well Isabella's been wanting to color her hair back to her natural color, so we went and matched the color. She is naturally a medium blonde with highlights, so we colored it and this is the outcome.....
It looks a bit dark, she freaked out a bit at first. But we're goin to put some highlights in pretty soon.

She looks so much older in these two pictures. I'll see if I can put some pics up after the highlights.

Three Graduations.....

This past Friday Megan graduated from CHS, wow I feel so old. I remember when me & Frank began dating and she was only a couple months old. When we married she had just turned a year, so it's been a Long Road.

I pray God will watch over you Megan as you make your way in life & I pray that you will seek God's wisdom in all the decisions you make as you head into adulthood. Love you, Mom Glover
Wow! Mark has also graduated. It's amazing to how far the two of the have come.

I pray that God will watch over these two Young adults & guide them and keep them safe in their journey in life. Protect them from harm, and give them the wisdom to make good choices.
Love you guys!

I now only have ONE left in Elementary School. Sophia has just left to go to the Middle School now. It's kinda bittersweet as they grow.
I pray that God will watch over you Sophia as you make your way to the Big Middle School.
Be Wise & make your decisions very carefully.
Love,
Mom

Realization

Ive have come to the realization that I'm going to need to take a trip WITHOUT my kids sometime soon, probably this summer? Ive brought them to PA this Spring Break & last Spring Break, they end up by the end of the week fighting and picking silly things to fight over. If I can work it out to come back to PA either next Spring Break or sometime in the Summer, I'm definitely NOT bringing them. We've had fun while we've been here, but with kids it just changes things, they each have their reasons why it's ok why they were arguing.
There are just so many changes going on with all the kids, some because of age, some are almost ready for college, some because of lack of consideration of others, some because I honestly have NO CLUE why, and now with working a job outside the home for a year now, and kids activities at school, insanity hits regularly! It's just alot of Stress to deal with.
I know people say enjoy this time it only last for a bit, but some days Im ready for it to be fast forwarded, like some of this week & even some of this time of their lives.
Hopefully when we get home & back to reality, things will calm down. Key word is "Hopefully". Don't get me wrong, God has Blessed me with so many wonderful people in my life- Family, Close Friends, Newly found friends (from work), and so many more & I appreciate you (if any of you that I mentioned are reading this?) and Thank God for you!
Please, keep me & my family in your prayers, sometimes the day to day struggles become more then we can bear and we don't see the end.
Thanks for listening to my venting.
Have a Great end of your week & a Nice Weekend.

Spring Break

The main reason I'm writing this blog is because I check Maria's and I keep noticing how much further down her list I get, so I feel I need to update it.
Right now we're in PA for the week visiting friends.
We did however recently have two birthdays.

Sophia turned 12 on March 20th. She's crazy about Jack Sparrow & Pirates of the Caribbean

Frank turned 15 on Sunday March 15th, he has been asking for a Sword from his Dad, so he got his wish.
Here they are putting on a good show for the camera.

The Killer Shrew

Okay I can't seem to figure out how to get the pictures in the order I want, guess I'll put em in backwards next time. Anyway, last week my phone in my bedroom rings at 3:25am and its my son Frank downstairs (calling on the intercom) calling to inform me that there is a 4" long cockroach in the basement that came after him. I got up went into the kitchen, he's in there looking scared to death, he said that he was watching a movie and it had just went off and it was about 1 or 2am (Way to late for him to still be up) and he saw something run across the floor, he asked what time his Dad gets up, I told him I thought about 3:30, so I went and told Frank, he was about to get up in less then 5 minutes.
He gets up and goes downstairs and Frank (my 14 yr old) is standing on the fireplace with the metal poker, trying to move a chair without getting off the hearth. Well needless to say the next night or two, he saw the "Monster Cockroach" run over by the shoes at the back door, he yells for me, cause he wants to keep and eye on it and have me get the vacuum, I bring my camera and we stand around watching and knocking the shoe with the vacuum, end up shining a light in it and dumped it into a box and found little Joey (that's what my girls decided to name him & wanted to keep him as a pet)
He is actually a Shrew, they are part of the mole family (notice his long nose & his tail isn't long like a mouse either)

We told my son that after looking up on the Internet that he is safe they only eat insects, he said we what if it thinks my pinkie toe is an insect? Lol!

This came up with the pictures when you look up "shrews" Frank didn't think this was all that funny and he probably will not be to happy with me for posting this. Sorry Frankie, I Love you, but you did wake me @ 3:25am!!

Just got my New Book in the Mail

I recently ordered a Parenting book in the mail, Ive already read it once, but wanted to own my own copy. It's Have a New Kid by Friday by Dr. Kevin Leman. It teaches you how to Change your child's Attitude, Behavior & Character in 5 Days
Ask yourself...Do you yell at, scream at, threaten, or cajole your child or children to do simple, routine things like get up, get dressed, eat, do homework, or perform a chore?
When you say no to your child and your child cries, are you overcome by guilt?
Do you find yourself giving in to the original request of your child- saying yes to what you had just said no to?
Do you engage in long conversations with your child, defending why you said no to a certain request?
Are you worried that your child doesn't feel good about himself or herself?
Are you bothered that your child doesn't seem happy?
Do you have a difficult time saying no?
Do they have to be asked to help around the house on daily basis?
Do they disrespect you & not value what you have to say?
Do they fuss about obeying you?
Do they lack for nothing?
Do they need to be reminded more than once to do something?
Is bedtime a battle zone?

I'm not trying to invade or step on any toes, I stumbled on this book & read it & found it to be very helpful, especially in today's generation, we're all so focused on ourselves & our children are growing up to be like that as well, Dr. Kevin Leman is a Christian counselor psychologist and wants to help us raise respectable children. I bought this book on Christianbooks.com (it retails for $17.99, I paid $9.99). I hope if any of you are interested or in search for help you can find it here if your willing to do something about it, most of our kids behavior is what we're teaching them. Good Luck, I'm ready to put my plan into action.

What happens when I leave my camera unattended...

Self Portraits! I leave my camera unattended and they think that means time to take their pictures. And I don't get some of their poses?
And for some reason they all think their Gangsta's!

Here's Victoria & Isabella, definitely DON'T get this one?

Here they are getting along, but I think it's just show for the camera, it's all FAKE!

Yep, they think their Gangsta's, the only thing that's true in this one is the Attitude! We have LOTS of that at the Glover house & it's not a Good thing :(

7 years Bad Luck

Um well, today when I was heading home I was passing another car and I was lookin at the car to make sure we passed each other ok and then "WHACK" I clipped a mailbox with my passenger mirror.
(here's me showing you the view I see when I look out my mirror now)
Dad came back from taking Frank Truck to see why the check engine light is on and also patching a tire, Frank's been working so much he's hardly able to be here or do anything or Rest. He bought this truck wrecked, it's a 2001 Extended Cab and way newer then his beat up 1996 F 150 (we intend to pass to Frank so he can learn in it), anyway him & dad fixed it and it is showing signs of slight mechanical problems going on, plus the tire with a nail in it.

Isnt the Duct tape Lovely!

At least my van is silver so the duct tape matches it, unfortunately I busted the "guts" to the mirror not the housing and now I'll need to get a whole new mirror! What a Wonderful Day!

Uh, no offense to Blondes or Teens....

Well to begin, here at the Glover house we have chores for all the children (no matter what the age), today happened to be Megan's (age 17) day for dishwasher, she wanted hang out after school with her boyfriend so she got up early to do her chore, I had asked her to go ahead and put some soap in it, she asked how you do that and where it is, so I told her the "big white Palmolive bottle under the sink", and Sophia even told her the exact same thing I did, apparently she only listened as far as Palmolive then blocked out everything else.....the picture will tell the rest

It could have been WAY worse had I not wiped out all (or at least I thought I had wiped out pretty much all of it), I started a rinse cycle, then got a reply from Jamie where I had texted her about this, she said you have to rinse rinse rinse or even call a repair man, you have to rinse it before you run it, I stopped it and this is what I saw (the above picture), so I had Isabella scoop out all the soap and put it in the sink (see below picture) and then I poured some cold water in dishwasher and then closed it and hit the cancel drain button, I did this about five times or so, did I mention I had to have Isabella @ school to cheer for a game @ 5:30 and this was all happening after 4pm!

Let me ask you - does this bottle look like "a big white Palmolive bottle"? I think its like Hot Pink to me? Yes it does say Palmolive, but it was also next to the sink, not under the sink

Here's a video that Sophia did of everything while it was happening.
