Happy Birthday!

Well today I am 35! Wow! I kinda feel old now. We're going to take the kids and go out and eat and then go Bowling! Thought maybe that sounded like fun.

Right now we're just resting after driving over 10 hours yesterday to get home.

Tomorrow I'll be going back to my new job as the cafeteria lady, I am now permanent, the only bad thing is to have to wear THREE hair nets on my hair, I just can't handle having super flat hair. Anyway, we have a new girl starting on Monday, hopefully she'll like it, it's not so bad, you stay busy with all the pans you wash, that doesn't mean I will be sad when they finally get a new dishwasher.

I'm sad to say that last Monday we laid to rest our Dear Sweet dog James, he will sadly be missed, I think his sister Claire is already lonely. We are out of town visiting our friends that we car pooled with a couple of years ago, we never get to see them enough, so we're enjoying the week with them, they live over 1o hours away, shew what a drive with four kids, sadly Megan wasn't able to come because of her new job :(

I put a few pics on her, the first one is the last we have of James, the second is his sister Claire and the last is Amy & Rebecca singing the song Come Sail Away by Stix. We're having a blast here, their sooooo funny.

Well, yesterday James at some point got up and made it way out to the backyard into the tall grass, my husband said something down deep in dogs tells them to go far away from home to die, so we gave him some Tylenol when we found where he was, then late last night we could here him barking and whining some, so about 1am me & Frank went out and loaded him into the gator(keep in mind he's pretty big, at least 100+ lbs) so we loaded him up and took him back to his bed, we gave him some food and water and I covered him with a blanket to keep him warm.

We took him to the vet awhile back and he said over time he'd just keep getting worse and eventually have to be put down.

It's really sad around here right now, I told Frank I didn't think I could handle having anymore dogs, A year ago this past November our previous dog Pfifer died. Then a year ago in January we decided to get two Great Dane puppies, they were fun and sweet, a lot of work (they were inside while they were pups). I just hate it right now, he's such a sweet dog.

We having the kids say their goodbye's today, not sure how much longer, today James is laying flat in his bed and is unable to get up to go the bathroom and has to have food and water given to him.

Well I got the job, I started the next day, which was Tuesday, I work 3 hours a day, it's definitely NOT boring, I stay busy, the dishwasher's been broken for sometime now (If I didn't mention, I'm working in a school cafeteria), some of the ovens don't work (But I'm not one of the cooks, but it still effects me when we run out of food and the lovely High School students are staring @ me) I serve 3 separate lunch groups, there was an opening at an Elementary School right down the road from the High School where I'm at, but Ive already met the ladies here and like them, I guess if something opens @ the school where my younger kids go I'd leave to go there, but the time goes by Quickly. I'll have some pretty nice muscles before to long with all the BIG pots & pans we wash.

On a different subject, our dog James (he's a great Dane he's almost 1 & 1/2), he's gotta a bad hip and has begun going down hill quickly, yesterday my husband said he was whining cause he couldn't get up and this morning he was struggling to get up and whining a lot, my son and his friend tried to lift his back end up to help him, but he couldn't get all the way up. It's so sad, he's such a Sweet gentle dog, his sister however is the opposite, and so hyper. Please be praying for us, I'm not sure I want anymore dogs, I can't stand to see them get down, and then having to have them put down.

The Job!

Well, I went to the interview today and I got the job, I start tomorrow. Wish me luck, Im kinda nervous.

Well.....

Well just to start, I'm NOT a big fan of Snow, I figured out today that I don't like it because I feel like I'm imprisoned in my home by the snow, I can't drive when I want (without getting stuck on our hill!), my kids miss school (they like to play in the snow, but DON'T like to clean up all their snow suits and wet boots, etc) I'm not the type who likes to go out and get numb fingers & toes playing in it, so that's why I get grouchy when it snows, I feel TRAPPED!

On a different subject, my interview will be Monday, so please pray for me, we could use the extra income & all the kids are far enough along in school that I shouldn't have a problem with working 3 hours during the day.

The last thing is I came in from running errands (I got out and didn't want to go back right away, plus we were running VERY low on everything), so I came in and had the kids help while I unloaded, I turned to look at Frank (he's 13, will be 14 this Saturday!) and I found myself looking WAY up at him! Yikes! he's now 5'10, Oh my it's like overnight he shot up so tall. I put up some pics, to look @ Megan (she's now 16) & My red-headed nephew (17) & Frank, to see how they have changed, Wow

Job Interview

Tomorrow morning I am going to my first job interview (it's been over 13 yrs sense I've had an actual job), I'm a little nervous, it with the school system, in the cafe. If any of you guys get this wish me luck!

Isabella's a Cheerleader!

Well Today Isabella got to cheer for the 6th grade boys, they didn't win but they tried really hard. I don't have much to blog on, Im hoping to be getting a job working in a cafeteria, it will only be 3 hours a day so that's not so bad. Hope you guys are all doing well.
